Every day I fight 3 dragons! Nothing more, nothing less. These dragons are just the embodiment of the three tasks in my list that, if completed, move my projects forward in a big way. The three tasks that make the most difference in my objectives. A dragon is something that makes a big difference, it is powerful, it's not indifferent. Dragons symbolize challenges, demanding attention and effort. By tackling these dragons, I direct my energy toward what truly matters, making my routine purposeful.
Every morning, I choose my three dragons. These tasks, if completed, have the most impact. They aren’t the easiest but the ones that drive significant results, avoiding minor tasks. After some trial and error, I realized that I'm able to slay 3 dragons, every day. This balance maintains focus and motivation. Limiting it to three allows deep, meaningful work, gives a sense of accomplishment, and you'll still have time for other things that pop-up.
Mindlessly going through a checklist might seem like you're accomplishing a lot, when in fact you're not. Crossing off minor tasks feels satisfying, but isn’t real progress. Focusing on three dragons ensures substantial advancements. After you slay your three dragons, you can always keep going on your side quests - in my case, diamonds, gold coins and puzzle pieces, but that's another story - but you'll be assured that your day counted, that you took a step, or three, forward, to get closer to your goal.
Being busy isn’t being productive. Identify your dragons and plan your day accordingly. I can assure that you'll spot the difference in what you achieve in a very short time.
